I'm a lead ML engineer at Tactus AI, which builds robots for diagnostic lab automation. I work across a broad range of technologies — real-time control, imitation-learning pipelines, autonomous navigation, and the infrastructure that ties them together.
Lately I've been most interested in agentic systems: using language models to help operate infrastructure, and the engineering that makes that dependable — evaluation, gradual rollout, and sensible guardrails. Most of the work isn't getting a model to act; it's the harness around it.
Before this I spent about a decade in platform and MLOps roles — self-hosted LLM inference for healthcare data at Kaiser Permanente, on-prem GPU infrastructure for computational pathology at Reveal Biosciences, build engineering at Rockstar Games, and DevOps at Susquehanna International Group — much of it in regulated environments like HIPAA and medical-device quality systems.
I hold an M.S. in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where I did robotics research on computer vision for autonomous navigation — a thread it took about ten years to circle back to.
